My final appointment of Toy Fair was among my favorites as I had the opportunity to tour the McFarlane Toys booth at toy fair and there are some amazing products coming from this trendsetting toy maker. Below I’ll show the new products on display based on license – there was a lot more on display but much is currently available in the market. There were also things that I couldn’t take pictures of that I wanted to call out. Fallout articulated figures: Lucy, Ghoul and Maximus were shown Mortal Kombat Klassics: Raiden, Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Johnny Cage and Kitana were shown Teenage Mutant Ninja Turles: Based on the IDW comic, look for a 6″ scale line. Shown were the 4 Turtles, Shredder, Rocksteady, Bebop and a Foot Soldier. This license was previously held by The Loyal Subjects. With a giant arm chair upholstered in Squishmallows in front of their toy fair exhibit space, I knew I made the right choice in requesting a walk through of their booth. Like that chair, fun was front and center across all the product lines on display. My coverage below is (mostly) limited to the action-figurey side of the house…with the exception of the Squishmallow Pets line. That coverage is for Frank and Jake the pug who regularly sleep on a Spider-Man squishmallow. Also, there was a display of Star Wars Microgalaxy Squadron, but everything on display is already available – so I didn’t take pictures, but there is more coming. Squishmallow Pets / Pets ProductsThe unstoppable plush brand is entering the pet space so your 4 legged friends can safely enjoy the squismallow sensation. Five Nights At Freddy’sJazwares will be offering Five Nights At Freddy’s product across multiple product lines including action figures, plush, squishmallows and more. PokemonThis is just a sample of what was on display; look for continued support of the line from Jazwares. Total Anime FortniteThere was a small display of Fortnite in the booth and a sign touting the brand’s reach and impact, if retailers are interested – look for the line to return! The Jazwares Vault is the official portal for limited edition releases from Jazwares and during toy fair they held a special event to open the vault up and preview upcoming collector’s products. Let me just say – Jazwares knows how to throw an event – as there weren’t just toys in the vault – AEW’s Orange Cassidy was also locked away in the vault. This was a lot like their past SDCC panels where they put in some extra effort to make it special. The below gallery has pics of all the toys that were in the vault – including a special colorway of the Orange Cassidy figure, a high end Spider-Man figure and new Pokemon, Star Wars and Halo Collector edition sets. This is a bit of a departure from the usual AwesomeToyBlog fare – but for awhile now the ‘squishees’ by Incredible Group have been on my radar and I had to check them out at toy fair. What the Incredible Group has done it take some of your favorite candies and foods and turned them into squishy sensory toys – some with scents. One thing that surprised me was that each of the different candies had a different and – oddly approrpriate feel. The Bazooka gum feels totally different from the Sour Patch Kid.
