Pop culture collectibles company Factory Entertainment made a major splash during San Diego Comic-Con’s Preview Night, unveiling its first-ever line of premium 1:6 scale action figures. Known for its high-end prop replicas from film and television, the company is now expanding into the collectible figure space with a debut line slated for release in 2026.
Convention-goers who attended Wednesday’s exclusive preview were treated to an early look at highly detailed prototypes from several iconic franchises, including Jaws, The Mummy (1999), and Battlestar Galactica. Factory Entertainment also hinted at additional properties in development, though specific titles remain under wraps.
“We’re very excited to be entering the high-end action figure market,” said Jordan Schwartz, President and CEO of Factory Entertainment. “While we don’t intend to directly compete with the companies currently leading this category, our goal is to fill in some of the gaps—offering characters and licenses that haven’t been served well in the existing market, particularly ones that complement our ongoing prop replica lines.”
The move marks a strategic expansion for Factory Entertainment, which has built a reputation among collectors for its meticulously crafted 1:1 and reduced-scale replicas. The new figures are expected to align with that same standard of quality and detail.
Attendees of San Diego Comic-Con can visit Factory Entertainment’s booth (#2743) through July 27 to view the prototypes on display.
